After nearly three days of no updates to its COVID data dashboard, the Health Ministry reveals that more than 125,000 people in Israel have been confirmed to have COVID in the past two days.
According to partial statistics, 65,259 people tested positive yesterday and 62,210 people tested positive on Sunday. These figures broke a new daily record, which was only set last week with more than 47,000 daily infections.
Earlier in the day, the ministry said 498 people with COVID were hospitalized in serious condition, including 100 on ventilators.
The ministry said the spike in infections and testing has caused delays and problems in reporting full numbers.
