“Speaking to residents of the country, we inform you that there is no reason to worry about a possible food shortage. In addition, speculation on the pricing of food products is excluded and prohibited in the activities of retail businesses, ”the ministry said. added.
According to the ministry, at present the situation in the commercial field in many regions is stable, the operation of retail stores continues as usual, with the exception of some stores in the cities of Almaty , Taldykorgan, Uralsk, Shymkent and Taraz, who suffered as a result of the looting. In particular, the Sportmaster, Technodom, Magnum, Sulpak, Kimex, Mon Amie and Alser stores, as well as Intertop, Metro, Violet, Eureka and Kari are closed.
According to preliminary estimates, the amount of damage amounted to approximately 26.2 billion tenge.
