Shepherd House Department collects items to send to troops overseas

(WKBN) – A local organization sends a special gift to some troops overseas.

The Shepherd House Department is collecting items to fill 130 stockings for dispatch to Air Force troops currently serving overseas.

“We tend to forget about veterans overseas, men and women, and the fact that they feel lonely there. So I asked my group if they were on board and they said yes, ”said Bethann Nolen of the Shepherd House Ministry.

A local veterans group known as “Loyal to the Cause” also donated money as a way to give back.

Shepherd House Ministry is asking the public for help with donations.
