Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday attacked the Center for the Killing of Civilians during a counterinsurgency operation in Mon district in Nagaland, saying the government must give a “real response” to what the government is doing. Army officials said the operation in Mon district on the Myanmar border was carried out on the basis of credible information about likely insurgent movements in the area.
He said the security forces were seriously injured during the operation and one soldier died of his wounds.
