BEIJING, Aug 8 (Reuters) – China’s Foreign Ministry said on Monday that Taiwan is part of China and that China is conducting normal military exercises “in our own waters” in an open, transparent and professional manner.

Relevant departments have also issued announcements in a timely manner, and this is in accordance with domestic and international law, said ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin at a regular press briefing.

Wang was asked whether or not China’s continuation of its military exercises complied with international law, and whether a new warning for civilian ships and planes would be issued.
